The name of the cuvée evokes the hill of Forca Real, which in the distance looks like a black pyramid. It has been known as a marine landmark since antiquity and the fishermen of Collioure used it until the 1950s to navigate to port. Majestic, at an altitude of more than 500 meters, it is the soul of the village of Corneilla la Rivière. The wine is made each year with a majority of Grenache Noir blended with Syrah and a small percentage of Mourvèdre, then aged for one year in old oak barrels.
